The Banns just say both bride and groom of this parish. Both signed their names
Witnesses ... signed, bride and groom made mark
Don't you find this strange? That the bride & groom signed the banns, but only made their marks at the actual wedding?
The Banns register image is available on Ancestry. This is a record completed by the vicar. The couple do not sign the Banns register. It is unlikely that they would ever see it.
