Head and neck cancer is a generic term that covers many different types of cancer.

There was an item on TV recently where a man had an enormous tumour removed from his neck, it went from his jaw to his chest. They showed him before and after surgery, it must have been terrible because it was forcing his head to bend forward as it grew.

Cancer in the lymph glands in the neck, maybe?  This is how a relative of mine died.  Although these Lymph glands are found in various parts of the body, he was affected in the neck.  They are part of the body's immune system, but sometimes can't deal with serious illnesses like cancer.
