Address in 1851 Census - Kilbarchan, Renfrewshire

Hi

Hoping someone can help me decipher the record for John & Janet Galbraith (item 4 on the schedule).  Find My Past has it as Society House but I have not been able to find any trace of this in any records.  Ancestry has just missed it out.


Help!

Hi, assuming that you got this from Scotlands People, I would suggest you go back on the site and report a problem with the image. Report an issue just above the image in question. The will either look at the original record for you or more likely rescan the document.

Thanks, I hadn't looked there.  I've been looking for a link to the Kilbarchan General Society and Society House but have not as yet been able to find one.

Any connection?

Update - the 1845-46 Directory has "John Galbreath" not "Galbraith" and need to recheck '53-54 (but problems repeating search).
Update - '53-'54 reads "Galbraith".

Looking at the page, at the top it shows that they lived in the Village of Linwood, which was within the Parish (but not the village) of Kilbarchan
