Colourisation
« on: Monday 24 June 24 22:35 BST (UK) »
Looking for some guidance or a starting place on how to colourise black and white photographs. I have used the application within ancestry however feel that my photographs need to be finally tuned in certain places as the colour of flowers for example remain a neutral colour. Apologies that it is a broad request but any signposting would be gratefully appreciated.

Just wanted to give a public thanks to Andypandy for his assistance with colourising photographs for me. These kind gestures mean so much and have been gratefully appreciated by my family and brought a great sense of comfort to my uncle. Thank you

Thanks Gary for the acknowledgement, however I would just like to clarify that it was not my intention  to bypass the incredible work that is done here on Roots. I had originally offered to privately give Gary some guidance on the process (as I have done for quite a few others on other forums). After a brief discussion, it transpired that, to his credit, his sole motivation was to add colour to just two wedding pics for his uncle and not to pursue it as a hobby. Given the amount of commitment that would have been required for the both of us, I suggested that I may as well just do them for him.  :)
