Thomas McGoldrick
« on: Friday 14 June 24 10:01 BST (UK) »
Hi, I'm looking for Thomas McGoldrick born abt 1882 in Co. Fermanagh. Thomas married Mary Donegan 14 nov 1904 in Derrylin RC Church, Lisnaskea and according to the marriage cert his father was John McGoldrick. Has anyone come across a Thomas McGoldrick that could help me get further back? Many thanks.

No obvious births in Lisnaskea area that match. Closest is an 1885 birth, but father was a Michael. Do you have your Thomas in the 1901 and 1911 census and if yes, do they show him as born in County Fermanagh?

Could this be him with a County Cavan birth?

or

Closest fit for a birth possibly being:

albeit Goldrick rather than McGoldrick.

Although if this is him in 1911 https://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Fermanagh/Crum/Dresternan/523297/ it has a County Fermanagh birth noted,  albeit with a possible Cavan link in that 2 children were born there.

I found him and his family in the 1911 census which states he was born in Co. Fermanagh, the 2 eldest kids were born in Co. Cavan. Not yet managed to find a definite in 1901.
