1949 Newspapers - Johnson
« on: Thursday 13 June 24 11:52 BST (UK) »
Hi there, I am still working on the death of Frederic George Johnson.  He died on 29 August 1949 at the hospital in St Helier.  He was buried on 1 September at St Brelades cemetery. I have his death cert, the funeral directors record and his will.  Does anyone have access to Jersey newspapers of this period?  I would be interested to know if there is any reference to his death.  The family don't know why he was in Jersey, the death cert does not confirm his occupation although it was probably something to do with engineering.  Any help anyone can offer would be gratefully received.
Nicola

Thanks for looking Sandra. I've got that one. I am hoping the Jersey papers might have more detail.
