Ellen from Pwllheli area
« on: Wednesday 12 June 24 13:23 BST (UK) »
This is a photo of a carte de visite from a collection of family photos. As you can see, someone has labelled it "Auntie Ellen". However, like in lots of families, names are reused and there are several possibilities for who it could be. Could you help me with a date please.
Also if someone could get rid of the name label, that would be fantastic.
Thanks very much

These refer (initials only) to a "W M E Salem Square, Pwllheli" around 1903/4. No indication if still in photography business.

This advert snipped from the Pwllheli Home Messenger, 5 Nov 1899, has WME at Salem Square a few years earlier than 1907 (previous post).

1880's & probably mid-late decade.
Although her left hand is prominent I don't detect
a wedding ring.

Thank you everybody, and I do apologise for the delay in replying. (For some reason, I didn't get any notifications on this topic. Since I was trying to sort out something urgent, I'd left this until I thought someone had replied...)

1880's & probably mid-late decade.
Although her left hand is prominent I don't detect
a wedding ring.
That date might fit in with her being my nain's aunt who died unmarried in 1890 (born 1860).
