Magraths and Maguires of Fermanagh
« on: Tuesday 11 June 24 22:52 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I am told that in the old Fermanagh, pre 1700, some Maguires became Magraths.  I haven't managed to find any info on this, other than that there were Magraths probably settled around the Enniskillen area - is anyone able to help me out/point me in the right direction to find out?
Many thanks

Hi,
Well, mcgrath search quotes 'There are pedigrees that show the existence of a Macraith in the Maguire descent'. It is taken from Thomas Maguire 'Fermanagh. Its Native Chiefs and Clans'.
If someone by any chance has the book and could do a look up I would be very grateful ;D
