Did Isabella Smith b 1857 marry Alexander Lobban in Q Sept 1874 in Otterburn?

We have Isabella (Elisabeth in 1861 Census) Smith born in December 1857 to Walter Smith and Sarah née Jackson.
Here is an apparent record of Isabella's marriage to Alexander Lobban in August 1874

On the FreeBMD index, I only find an Isabella Smith marrying an Alexander Thopson in Q Sept 1874 in the Bellingham reg district.
Where is the marriage of Isabella and Alexander?

the record in the link shows the marriage in Otterburn.
The date of the marriage of Isabella Smith & Alexander Thompson in Otterburn is 22 Aug 1874, the same as the one given on the link.

Yes. I spent a week in Otterburn and knew I was still in England.
Are Alexander Thompson and Alexander Lobban the same person? 
Other information on Ancestry trees seem to be correct.

Their daughter Isabella's birth in 1881 in Huntley does list her parents marriage as 22 August 1874 in Otterburn, England so maybe Alexander Thompson and Lobban are the same person

Following Alexander back he seems to be a Lobban - son of James Lobban and his wife Barbara nee Robertson  (they married in 1835)

Northumberland Archives hold the registers for Otterburn.
I'd try posting on the Northumberland Look Up Requests Board  to ask for a look up if anyone is going to the archives and would be able to tell you the details, groom's age and occupation and his Dad's name and occupation.

A copy of the record from the archives would cost you less than an official cert from the GRO and will have good stuff like original signatures -  and in my experience the copies are usually crisp clear digital images.

I think this may confirm the 1874 marriage.  I noticed that on Anc family trees the couple had a son Walter Lobban listed as born 23 Oct 1875 in Morpeth.  I couldn't find a registered birth with the surname Lobban but did find one with the surname Thompson and mother maiden Smith in Morpeth which is hopefully attached

Did Alexander Lobban change his surname temporarily and move to England for some reason??
