Yes,I join those already wishing you well K,G.
And others not in the best of health.

Enjoyed The King ‘s Birthday celebrations ,don’t we do these things so well.
Nice to see The Princess of Wales , hoping all goes well for them too.

Eldest son here for tea tomorrow with my pleasant daughter in law ,Tasmanian Chicken then a big raspberry trifle.

So off to bed now and up early to get as much done as possible before church.
Cheerio,Viktoria.

That is a good question re how cyber attacks have affected blood type matching, Brigid.  Not at all dim.
I can only guess about this which is not much use.  It is a shame PharmaT is not still posting, I think she might be able to elaborate.  I think she is still about though .. Pharma would you kindly come forth to explain if you will?

I'll have to dash now as I'm off to Church soon.

The cyber-attack was on a 3rd Party supplier of pathology services, Synnovis.
It affected hospital and GP services in London.

It was a "ransomware" attack.
The perpetrators want money to lift/fix the attack.

I agree with you RTL, pity ParmaT has left the chatter box.

Had to sort my daughters cat out at 8am, went to chuch and took pity on her, a very heavy shower, so on my way home  I let her in, they will be home soon so she will be out again till she is at the patio door calling  to be let in, she is really a lovely friendly cat .

Weather unsettled today, real pity for those on holiday, surely we must be due to some nice weather soon

Enjoy  your weekend folks

For those interested:

The hospital has to do diagnostic tests on the fluid they took.
This is at The Walton Centre in Liverpool; neurological specialists.
I will get a telephone consultation on 26th, when they will tell me what steps are next.
Probably a shunt fitted, to drain excess fluid out of brain cavity, into the body cavity.

Your explanation made me feel quite queasy KG.  I hope everything goes well for you.

I wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of the Russian Mafia!!  and there's one high ranking person who seems to leave a trail of bodies lying in doorways or have fallen from a window, who now seems to want a swan song before he departs this world.

When the Scots were having their debate about separating from the rest of the British Islands, I joined a group.  One contributor to the group discussion was definitely not British, although he had a British surname (Miller).  I challenged him and when he asked how I knew I told him it was his phrasing.  I then received a private message from some name I'd not seen in the group stating that I had been having a conversation with a Russian.

Amazingly it is a sunny day here in Devon and it actually feels warm!  I think it's around 20 degrees :o
Our home grown new potatoes and mangetout peas last night were delicious with the roast chicken. Tonight it will be chicken curry with the leftovers and i will boil the bones and bits to make chicken soup with leeks and other veg.  The chicken may have cost £6.50, but that's 3 meals from it, so quite a money saver.  Strawberries tonight, mmm.

KG I hope your diagnosis comes quickly and kindly, whatever the treatment may be.  I have 2 hospital tests this week for my mystery illness.  We couldn't go on our holiday recently because the travel insurance company refused to cover me without a diagnosis.

WARNING  any of you who have Facebook

I have had messages from older people who haven't used Facebook for a while

The photos are correct for the person but the use of English is not right

They did not ask for money but have asked me to click on attachments or take an agents number in order to get a grant

The  first person an ex employer is also a local councillor so I got on to police because I was worried about identity fraud for her .

Action fraud have been very efficient I now have a police incidence report

+ Access to an organisation called victim first .

I also got bombarded with porn videos this week so they've added harassment to the crime
( looks like it's the same person )
Very scary & disgusting that they seem to be targeting older people

DON'T CLICK ON ANY ATTACHMENTS  even if you THINK that you know the sender
