Diary summary week ending 16th June 2024
« on: Monday 10 June 24 09:33 BST (UK) »
Morning  all
This morning  we have woken up to a thoroughly  nasty, very cold , damp wet and  rainy morning, we should have been on our way to Devon by now but there was no way my husband  would have been well enough, anyway this damp weather would have played havoc with my hair!,

What sad news about Dr Michael Mosley,  I have read and seen him so much I feel as if I know him personally , I do feel for his  lovely wife.

Middle of June end of this week,  unbelievable, almost half way to Christmas!!

Hope everyone feel ticketty  boo this week , happy week to all.

Oh I am so sorry you have both missed out on your trip LM.  Hopefully, you might get to go in future when your husband has recovered fully?

Yes, that is extremely sad news re Dr Michael Mosley.  I found out late last night when I checked the news after getting in.  He seemed like such a nice person.  It is so sad.

A medical question  if I am allowed.

Has anyone  heard of cutting up an onion, adding 2 large spoon of  demerara sugar, leaving it in the fridge over night and drinking it as a medicine in doses,  the market stall man  said no water, he wasn't trying to sell me  onions either.

I have heard of this LM but I haven't tried it myself.  Let us know if this home remedy is effective.

I see in the news today that the NHS is urgently appealing for blood donation after a cyber attack.  A gang of Russian criminals are suspected as responsible for this major incident. :-\

I am on a back shift later today.

RTL,  not tried the concoction  yet, it hasn't made much liquid but will try it after breakfast.

Looks a nice day here so far but it is still quite cold.

Found this extolling the remedy LM.

Also found this one made with bay leaves, lemon and sugar.  Sounds like a lot of sugar though.  Finished product looks like a good medicinal brown colour though.

Plus another above that can be added to water and drank as a tea.

I'm looking forward to hearing if your treatment works for you LM. :)
