Does anyone know when Duke Street formally changed to Thomas Clarke Place? Did it become Thomas Clarke Street first?

based on the name I would suggest sometime after 1916, maybe after 1921

In the newspapers of 1920, there was a range of suggested name changes to streets - Duke St. was proposed to be changed to Thomas Clarke St. However, it is now called Thomas Clarke Place, so I am wondering when it was formally changed and why did 'St.' change to 'Place'?

The change in street names was initially proposed by the Mayor at the WBC meeting on 01/09/1920 & unanimously carried. The minutes state that "One great advantage of the proposed change was to substitute the names of Irish Martyrs for those of English notabilities" !!   
Dalton: Wexford Town/Ireland
Curran: Ballyvaloo/Blackwater/Co Wexford/Ireland
Clowery/Farrell: Wexford Town/Ireland
Flood: Enniscorthy & Wexford/Ireland
Ormand/Kirwan: Blackwater/Co Wexford/Ireland
Shortman: Bristol/Westbury-on-Trym/Manchester
Trull: Uley/Dursley/Glos
Cross: Dursley/Glos
Hazard: Bristol/Manchester

According to the Council minutes in June 1932 only 4 of the name changes were subsequently voted through by the residents - and didn't include the Duke St/Thomas Clarke Street change:   
Dalton: Wexford Town/Ireland
Curran: Ballyvaloo/Blackwater/Co Wexford/Ireland
Clowery/Farrell: Wexford Town/Ireland
Flood: Enniscorthy & Wexford/Ireland
Ormand/Kirwan: Blackwater/Co Wexford/Ireland
Shortman: Bristol/Westbury-on-Trym/Manchester
Trull: Uley/Dursley/Glos
Cross: Dursley/Glos
Hazard: Bristol/Manchester

Excellent, thanks for the Council minutes. Looks like the Duke St. change was sometime after 1932.

Previous post prompted me to have a look through Council minutes.
It would appear the name 'Thomas Clarke Villas' was agreed in 1967, but 'Thomas Clarke Place' came into use in 1968
