I got the beta format a few days ago and dislike it intensely and filled out the feedback form to say so.  The print is so much smaller that it's hard to read even tho I have good eyesight.  The line between the match and my notes is in the wrong place.  It makes it look as if the note belongs to the person below.  This can only lead to errors.  There is more but others have already covered the bases.

Looks like somebody is listening after all, they've changed my colours back to where they were.

FYI Alison55 you can change the size of the font on most browsers by Ctrl+ and Ctrl- and it will remember the settings per site. I use 120% for Ancestry.

Thanks for that, Steve.  I do know that but it's annoying as it was never a problem before this new beta change to matches.

Have a really weird bug that I assume is as a result of these updates ::) that I posted on below, on the DNA match's pages it shows all my trees and trees I have edited as trees of those who have shared their DNA matches with me ????!

Re: Ancestry Pro Tools & the new DNA tools

Yikes! Someone mumbled something in a meeting about having just got Ancestry Pro Tools and that it was showing them stuff. So I asked if it is now showing how much DNA you and a match share with a shared match. Yes, came the answer.

So I went looking for Ancestry Pro Tools. The only way I could find Pro Tools was to do an internet search, which turned up the page below. I clicked on Purchase, logged in and added Pro Tools to my Ancestry account.

https://support.ancestry.com/s/article/Ancestry-Pro-Tools-Membership?language=en_US

A totally unexpected benefit of Pro Tools (which they might end up turning off) is that I can now see shared matches that were previously invisible due to the 20 cM / 20 cM match rule.

For example, I have several key (small - 20 cM) matches for whom I previously had no shared matches (as there were no matches with whom we both shared 20 cM or more). Now I have shared matches for them - with my amount of shared DNA being less than 20 cM.

Be aware it states:

I think anyone with a subscription can add it if they login to the US site? Perhaps someone could confirm.

Yes - people outside the USA who use that USA link, then log in with their usual details, will with an ounce of luck be able to subscribe to Pro Tools and get the new DNA tools.

Some people who already have a Pro Tools subscription are saying they can't see the new tools - perhaps they need to log out, then log in again.

Some people are saying they still have coloured dots, not coloured squares - I have dots on my 1st page, then squares for matches!

You need a 'proper' Ancestry subscription/membership in order to be able to purchase Pro Tools (AncestryDNA Plus is not sufficient).
