Is anyone able to help me find the mother of my 1st cousin 1x removed.
He is M A Johnson. His father was James Richard Johnson who lived in 16 Harbottle Avenue, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne in 1967, but also from the County Durham area.
Many thanks

Rootschat has a strict no living persons policy to protect peoples privacy. I suspect your first cousin was only born in either 1955 or 1964

You say he is - not was - your cousin so if he is still alive you need to edit your post to remove his name

Buying a copy of his birth cert will give his mothers name & maiden name

Joseph & Lilian appear to have had a son in 1937 - see freebmd

EDIT - Should be Thomas & Lilian - see later replies

The family can be found on the 1939 register so any divorce was after 1939

Lilian died in 2007 as Crutchley

Looks like they had another son born end of 1930 died by March qtr 1931.  James V Johnson b Easington

Suspect any other children were born to the second marriage

He could have remarried more than once after Lilian

Many thanks Carole,

Lilian was my great grandmother. A wonderful woman, and I have James Victor Johnson as her first child who sadly died as an infant, but my grandfather's name was Thomas. They divorced in 1949. Where did you find the name Joseph.

Joseph & Lilian appear to have had a son in 1937 - see freebmd

Sorry - Typo - should read Thomas.  See 1937 birth entry I mentioned & you'll know why I made that mistake 😱

Is that the right death for Lilian - birthdate on death entry matches 1939 entry but I can't find a Crutchley marriage

You haven't removed your cousins name from your opening post

Take a look at the 1945 Johnson/Thompson birth on freebmd if divorce was only 1949.  The name seems a bit coincidental

GRO Online births end at 1934 so can't check middle name
