Marriage License for Granfather

Hi, Found my grandfather on 1900 New York census with his first wife. Is there a way to get a copy of their marriage license? Names were Thomas Nevin & Winifred Benson.

When did they marry

A tree on Family Search shows marriage date as 10.8.1893

New York City just had marriage certificates then.  Marriage licenses didn't start there until 1908.

Wow! Thanks so much. Anyway to get marriage certificate for his 2nd marriage in Roscommon Ireland. He married my grandmother Ellen Gilleran on April 19, 1909.
