Looking at the ship manifest for John Farrell's arrival in New York on the Cameronia on January 30, 1924, he and fellow bricklayer John Bryceland are both traveling to 401 East 156th St. in the Bronx. John Bryceland indicates this is his home, while John Farrell has that it is his friend's address: "Mrs. Burl Pearson"

I'm not sure if that is correct because the added handwriting is faint. Could someone else confirm...? John Bryceland and Mrs. Burl Pearson might be possible leads....? Also, perhaps there's a bricklayer's organization in New York to which he belonged...? Maybe....
UPDATE: Looks like John Bryceland traveled back and forth to the US over several decades. I'm checking to see if his destination was ever John Farrell's...
UPDATE: The New York Times, July 23, 1923 issue, has that "Burke Lawson, 29 years old, of 401 East 156th Street, the Bronx" was arrested on a "technical charge of homicide" for accidentally running over a child. So John Farrell's friend may be Mrs. Burke Lawson...
