Campbell 1822 Monaghan town

I am looking for any Campbell families (Presby) living in Monaghan town in the early 1820's
David Campbell b: 1822

I don't have a David Campbell but have Matthew Campbell - b 1816, Eliza - b 1824, Jane - b1826. The last was married to James Joseph Gillanders, of Ballinagall. Their daughter Lizzie was married to my wife's g grandfather (James Gillanders - must have been a relation but not close). Jane was married in C of I church but obviously could still have been Presbyterian. Their father was James Campbell. Hard to make a link but might come in useful later.

According to the "Family history", David had two sisters who he never heard from after they emigrated.  This gives me more names to check when I get to Co Mohaghan this Jan.  Anything I can look up for you?

Thanks for the offer but I think we have pretty well exhausted our interests in Monaghan. I have done a lot of research in the church records available on microfilm in the Public Records Office in Belfast (I live in London (England)  but visit once or twice a year). Are you aware of the two Presbyterian churches in Monaghan town itself First Pres and 2nd Pres (latter known also as Ballyalbany). Of course maybe you mean Monaghan County, in which case they are legion.

Yes, and that is where I will try 1st because Mohaghan Town is where he is supposed to have come from.  I know that after his marriage in Castlewellan Co Down in the 1840's the family was Presb, but that does not mean his family was.  Lets hope

i dont know if this will help you
but i had my brown family that came from slacks grove monaghan ireland and in 1821/22 they moved to guernsey ohio. yours might have went as well on the same ship.
i dont know the name of the ship that mine went on as i cant seem to get anything at all from the internet about my browns just when and where they where born. and i have one of there sons getting married in scotland and one getting married in ireland. so i dont know if some of the chikldren came back to britain and the rest stayed in the usa as i have one of them getting married in the usa and i have all her stuff right up till today.
