NZ Archives shutting down Digitisation Programme on 30 June 2024

Just seen this article. How will this affect NZ family history research ?  Does this mean that the Papers Past programme will cease?

Hi Kanskar,

This advisory on the Archives NZ website should provide some clarification. My understanding from reading it is that this refers to the digitisation of files (such as probates) so that researchers can access the files online rather than request them to view or pay for copies.

No mention of Papers Past, which in any case is hosted by National Library.
