Henry Joseph married Emily and had children with her

There are family trees on Ancestry which I believe are wrong.  I don't know if you think these same children belonged to your Henry and Emily - Emily born in 1870 and Catherine/Katherine/Kate born in 1872.  They were actually the children of Henry REEVES and Emily JAMESON who married in 1871 after the birth of Emily.

REEVES, EMILY  ROSE
Mother's maiden surname: JAMESON

REEVES, CATHERINE  ELIZABETH
Mother's maiden surname: JAMESON
GRO Reference: 1872  D Quarter in SAINT GEORGE IN THE EAST  Volume 01C  Page 412

Henry was a general dealer and in 1871 he and the two Emilys are in Mile End Old Town.  By 1881 I think Emily and Kate are at the Forest Gate District School.

It is possible that this Henry is the same one who was sentenced to 10 years for receiving stolen goods in 1878.  He was also a general dealer and the same age.

Any thoughts on Alfred George Reeves (also born in Cologne)?

My thoughts, born 6th December 1872 Cologne. Son of "Harry" Reeves & (Emily?)

Married 13th April 1903. Alfred George Reeves 30, bach, occ-Groom, Father Harry-occ-groom.

Son born (appears as Eric with parents in 1921) cannot find in 1911 census.

Mary Ann Reeves daughter of Benjamin Reeves married George Jackson 16th April 1874. _Image on Anc*

George and Mary Ann appear in 1881 census with a Nephew Alfred George Reeves--mistranscribed as born Hilborough Norfolk

So we now have 2 Reeve children born Cologne pre 1881 living in the UK, Arthur George & Whilhemina.

I haven't been able to find them in 1911 either, but would rather find Alfred before 1891.  It might be worth looking at siblings of Alfred and Emily to see if he was with one of them and might be enumerated with a different surname.  The grandparents probably could not support both of them.

Found him in 1881, he is with Henry's sister Mary Ann and her husband George JACKSON in Hilborough, Norfolk.  They have his place of birth as Hilborough.

Her father was Henry Joseph Reeves (1845-1908) who lived in London area.

Where are you seeing this death and residence?

In 1911 (as ERic) George Eric Reeves the son of Alfred George & Annie Cooper can be found as a visitor in the household of his mother's sister Alice Hardy nee' Cooper(1882).

Register of baptisms in Bonn, Germany
29 March 1874: Emily, Father: Henry Reeves, Mother: Emily.

Perhaps a sister?
Bonn is near Cologne, the Anglican Chaplaincy there seems to have served both Bonn and Cologne.

Registration for overseas events could certainly be patchy.

Well found jorose, whilst we have found 2 children back in the uk by 1881 there is NO evidence of parents Henry Joseph & Emily ever returning to the UK.
The poster appears a little reluctant to disclose the alleged 1908 death details.
