Just in passing, and despite what Ancestry and similar web sites would have you believe,  there is no such thing as probate in Scotland, so you will struggle to find any actual documents if you search for probate. The legal process in Scotland is Confirmation.

If someone domiciled in Scotland owning property in England, Wales or Ireland, the Scottish Confirmation is Sealed in the courts there.

Charles Wood SCOTT married Elizabeth GEORGE in 1886 in Old Kilpatrick. They had the following children according to a search on Scotlands People (all registered at Old Kilpatrick):

1887  James Watson SCOTT (died 1963, aged 75)
1889  William George SCOTT  (died 1905, aged 15)
1892  Janet Clark SCOTT (died 1973 - the age looks right, aged 80)
1896  Charles Wood SCOTT (died 1960 aged 64)

There is also a death of an infant Agnes Watson SCOTT (mmn WOOD) in 1855 at Old Kilptrick, a transcription on Ancestry has her birth 28 May 1854, parents James SCOTT and Charlotte WOOD.

It looks like Janet Wood SCOTT died 1892 aged 36, registered at Old Kilpatrick.
