Hi  I'm using FH7 and wondered if it's possible to use different box colours to highlight individuals? Or maybe a different font?

With your diagram (chart) on screen right click on the individual you want to make changes to which gives you a drop down menu.

from this menu select "Format" which give you the screen attached which will enable you to override the standard/default colours fonts etc.

Just wanted to say thank you again - initially I tried the 'format' option and quickly realised it wasn't what I wanted to do (bear with me) and trundled  off to FHUG and trawled their suggested external videos, found myself of YouTube and discovered my mistake!  I use the software in a basic way because I'm really technophibic and have ignored all the wonderful tricks the developers have added to the package.  I guess that's pretty standard - 100 users will no doubt use the programme at least 75 different ways.  So this old technophobe is off to discover what the software can do for me ... thank you for the push.

One of Family Historians greatest strengths is its immense flexibiity.(it’s also what puts a lot of people off, considering the program too complicated)

Use the program to work the way you want to work

PS if you press F1 on any screen it brings up the main help page for that function
