In the year 1844, on the twelfth of February at nine o’clock in the morning, before us Ferdinand Courtin, Mayor and officer of the civil registry of the commune of Neslette, canton of Oisement, Department of the Somme, appeared Jean-Baptiste Léger, innkeeper, aged forty-three years, natural son of the deceased, and Firmin Fourdrinier, schoolmaster, aged thirty-three years, neighbour of the deceased, both residing in Neslette, who have declared to us that yesterday at eight o’clock in the morning, died in this commune, in her home, on Rue de Bas number two, opposite the Church, Marie Marguerite Françoise Defrance, housewife, aged seventy-two years, nine months, and eight days, born and residing in this commune, widow of the late Jean-Baptiste Léger, former ploughman servant, deceased in Neslette, and daughter of the late Jean Defrance and Françoise Delamarre, also deceased in Neslette, and the declarants have signed with us the present act after it was read to them.
