Problem with Ancestry

For that last week or so, I've been unable to open any Ancestry hints. Is anyone else having the same problem? Any idea how I can resolve it?

Although the date of death is correct, the birthdate is about six months too early.

GRO is simply showing Year of Birth?

Do you have a copy of the Death Certificate?

And, why are you piggy-backing on a thread about Ancestry Hints?

Hints always need to be looked at carefully and not just accepted; but you have to be able to open them to do that. And when you want to attach a census to a family you definitely need to see the nitty gritty of the entry!

Anyway, (should anyone else have a similar problem), I've discovered that disabling the adblocker on my antiviral software allows me to open said censuses etc. I'll leave this here in case it helps anyone else.

Information on Death Certificates was supplied by the informant - who was named on the certificate.
Neither Ancestry or GRO make changes to the information.

What is MS supposed to mean?

The birthdate was probably transcribed by someone from the USA and they've used their usual date formula of month-day-year, instead of the British formula of day-month-year. So I'm guessing her birthdate was actually 1st July 1928?

It took me a while to work out why so many dates were wrong on recent death records, but that's why.
