2 William Richardsons in North West Hampshire

Coming back to this after a 15 year break.
I got as far as William Richardson marrying Mary Ann Alder December 17th 1864 / Ashmansworth.
William's father was also a William but I can't find a reference for both together.
Kingsclere, Highclere, Crux Easton, Fosbury, Shalbourne, maybe Hungerford and Great Bedwyn all feature so the Richardsons don't appear to have moved very far in 160+ years.
I was adopted in 1954 and live 300 miles away from the area so can't really go carry out more in depth local research.
In 1851 I have a young William (dob 1841) as living with siblings Thomas & Frederic (and others) in his grandfather's house (RG No. HO107, piece 1686, Folio 153, P.13) - no positive parent listed. This may be a false lead.
I have obtained birth certificates for several other likely candidates but finding the 2 Williams together in the 1840's I can't locate.
Could someone help me out please?

Where do you have William on census apart from that possible 1851 entry.

What was his occupation and place of residence when he married and who were the witnesses

Using GRO online shows only one birth to the 1864 Richardson/Alder marriage but failure to register a birth only became a fineable offence in 1874

1881 in Crux Easton bn Shalbourne, Wiltshire
1871 Ashmansworth bn Shalbourne, Berkshire
1861 possibly in Crux Easton bn Colebrook, Berkshire (occ Carter)

The 1871-1901 census entries are very consistent for William, an ag lab born Shalbourn circa 1840/41. 

The 1864 marriage record give's his father's occupation as "laborer".

1871 shows an 8yr old son so born before marriage.  Tom Alder - no mmn was b 1863 Kingsclere

BMD - William Richardson 1838 - Hungerford Oct- Dec. Hungerford presumably being the registration dist.

So the 1861 census is so far the spanner in the works

From the 1851 Census I went looking for William and Frederick.
Hungerford looked like the right place (referring to BMD) as I was  thinking if I could locate the 2 with a common father that might do the trick.
Certificates
William 1838 father John Richardson mother Ann Hiscock.
Frederick 1842 father Henry mother Hannah Bolshire.
Think that ruled that William out.
There are 2 Wiliams over at Great Bedwyn but that takes us away from the initial 1851 reference which in itself may be incorrect. No more information on this one.
