An update for everyone.
We have found the bigamous marriage in 1961.  Thank you SS your hunch was correct.
He was using an assumed name but still used his middle name.  Raymond Moir Rickard instead of Ramon Moir Steen.  He said he was 24 years old not 27 years old.  Strangely he gave his father as Campbell Moir Rickard.  Fancy using his fathers correct christian names.
We are still awaiting the National Archives documents which will not be available until April.
Thank you for everyone's help.

Did the documents ever arrive?

Sorry I forgot to post the documents did arrive from the National Archives.
The information they contained was pretty much what we had already discovered.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this post.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all you Rootchatters.

This sorry excuse was my uncle.  He had a daughter, Rosemary, born in 1952.

He died in Milton Keynes in 2002.

I never met him and he most certainly wasn't welcome by his family.
