Which church was used for the baptism? As you say it was from the Capel Curig register I would suggest a house nearby. It is unlikely they would travel more than a few miles in late December to baptise a baby.

Large houses often recruited workers from some distance away, as it stopped them running home.
"Ty yn y parc" can be found on the map I posted - north east corner.Note - I meant " west of this map" on previous post - not east!!.
