Witton Cemetery, Birmingham - 1903 Burial Register Query

I have a copy of a burial taken from the burial register for Witton Cemetery, Birmingham - March 1903.

There are 3 columns - headed - "Special", "Consecrated" and "Unconsecrated".

My Ancestor has the letter "S" alongside his entry and under the column "Special".

Does anyone know what that refers to or has come across that before.
