Even more valuable info!

Perhaps we should look for siblings John and Jeanette/Janet arriving in the USA with a toddler Ivy. They’d look like a couple on a passenger list wouldn’t they if the records weren’t very detailed. Wonder if others in the Brown family came across at the same time?

Returning to my DNA link via Ivy - this could be via her grandparents Woods or on her  unknown father’s side.  Or was Ivy actually William’s child, left with family in Scotland, with Mr &Mrs Caldwell sailing ‘home’ to collect her?

 Grounds for divorce - no support. I take that to mean financial and perhaps he continued to be at sea.
