Anderson, Bede (Caldwell & Anderson) res. 203 N Main
There's a Bede Anderson in the 1900 federal census, female, born abt 1883 in Sweden, immigrated when 0, working as a servant in the Whitcomb family in Chicago. And various Bede Andersons marrying later.
A Beda Anderson arrived from Liverpool 11 months old on the 1 Sep 1884 on Cephalonia, arriving Boston, Massachusetts and Charlestown, South Carolina, Massachusetts, USA. The lines above state Anes Anderson, 10, female, Augusta Anderson, 25, matron. Then Bida. Then Loresa (?) Anderson, 15, spinster - all Swedish. There are a lot of women listed as 'matron' for occupation on this passenger list. Perhaps it mean mother?
The women are listed separately to the men, and there are a lot of Andersons (is it the Swedish equivalent of Smith?) but hard to know which were families.
