Good finds, thank you.

So Robert B Goodman was married x3, despite only owning up to one previous when he married wife no. 3, Dorothy.

I had wondered if it was a coincidence that Ivy and Robert lived in Goodman, but the obit explains that.

If only there was more about Ivy!  Did she have an obit at all?

You're doing well aren't you?  So frustrating about Ivy - you'd think there'd be mention of her winning the scholarship to the boarding school wouldn't you?

Including this because of the mention of Winifred  Seeger. Finding that I was looking at the same things over and over   ::) ::)
- Looked at Winifred earlier - 1910 census (below) says Winifred and sister Geneva were at a boarding school.  Winifred was also roughly the same age as Ivy.

Anna E Seeger 43 Wife
Roy E Seeger 22 Son
Winiford V Seeger   17   Daughter. Boarding School.
Geneva P Seeger 14 Daughter. Boarding School.
Frances M Seeger 4 Daughter.

Sandra

Wonder if I can filter the 1910 census to find girls at boarding schools? It's different to the UK where only the people at the address are recorded.  I've been trying to find the census record for the school itself but possibly too difficult to do.

I've just looked at all 19 pages for Mount Carroll township for 1910 and it's all family households. Wonder if institutions are listed separately.  The school was rural wasn't it so perhaps not under the township.

Edit: just realised from the heading across the top (Ancestry's not the census) that there are a lot of other districts, so looking at those now.

It does seem frustrating not being able to find the College in the 1910 census. I note on this wiki for Shimer College they don't have a link to the 1910 either.  :-\

Actually, this looks like the school in 1910 - William McKEE is the Dean. No Ivy CALDWELL listed, only 2 pupils included on census night.
