The info re his communion came from an on-line tree on Ancestry, the reference listed as:
Finland, Communion Books, 1670-1917

There is an actual image of the record on the Ancestry page so it seems legit.

The on-line tree has no information re his arrival in Australia and the only other piece of information that I'm not sure if you have is a mention of (presumably) him in the
New South Wales, Australia, Government Gazettes, 1853-1899
1892 May-June

Listed in a section of the Gazette labeled "Country Letters" p439
218 Cederlune Jno, Culcairn (sic)

I don't know exactly what this entry is - perhaps unclaimed letters??

Some more spelling variations, but still in the same Riverina area (and no help in finding how he got here).. You may already have this which would appear to be the death of his son
1948 #19313
CEDELLAND, August aged 88 (thus b abt 1860)
Mother's family name at birth: WALDRON
Father's name: CEDELLAND John
Born at HOWLONG
Death registered WANGARATTA

Here is the original - top right:

The left page is the list of Swedish children and the right for the Finnish children.

Thanks for the information, the Johan I was trying to track was married in Albury in 1861, so I'm not sure that's the Johan I'm looking for (although you mentioned his parents were Tailor journeyman Johan Cederlund and Maria Mattsdotter).

Some more information that I found regarding his wife (Wilhelmine Henriette Dorothea Magthalena DANKEL)
She immigrated with Christian Dankel (along with two children). They arrived in Melbourne, VIC from Liverpool, UK in 1855 on the vessel 'Africa'.
Christian was working in Albury in 1857 (from the Border Post Albury) as a perruquier (wig maker).
He then died in 1861. His death certificate mentions his offspring as two being deceased, both female and two living.
The children were:
Minnie Dankel (1851- 1931) She died in Lidcombe, NSW aged 72. Her married name was Beresford and had 11 children.
Amelia Dankel. She died 19 April 1937 in Karrakatta, WA.

Then his widow married Johan Cederlund in 1861 and had three children.

My current angle of research is via his wifes family, the Dankels, to see if they have any information.
