John Libby of St Andrews Plymouth, Devon

I am trying to double-check St Andrew, Plymouth parish records for a baptism or birth date for John Libby. I have access to the Libby Family in America books 1602-1881 and 1881-1981. I have some dates, but it is unclear when he came to the colony of Maine in the US. it could have been as early as the 1620s. It also states that he was born in England in 1602, but a family member has him in our tree with the date of 11 Nov 1610 in St Andrews, Plymouth. I'm not sure if it is the same man or if the information is wrong. I have found many discrepancies. Our tree also shows him married to Mary Judith Miller 1608-1682 and son John Libby born 26 Apr 1636 in St Andrews, Plymouth. The book states that John Libby(1602-1682) was born in England but that John (1636-1720) was also. I am wondering how many more generations back are in the parish records. I can look for myself if someone can point me in the right direction.  Thanks!

Plymouth St Andrew early years register images are available at FindMyPast, subscription site.
Can see Libby with many possible variant spellings there in 1600’s.

Ancestry does not have the images but there are dates for the name.
 John Lybbye baptised 11 Nov 1611 father John.
 Peter Lybbie baptised 25 Apr 1614 father John
 Robert Lybbie baptised 13 Feb 1615 father john.
 Marriages
John Libbey 23 Off 1609 to Alse Herring  a death for an Alse Libbye 14 July 1622.
 John Libbies burial 27th Feb 1620. No ages
 Also Robert Libbye buried 1st June1622 and Peter buried 30 Nov 1625.

 Copies of the original may have more detail .
 Also Libby name in Cornwall with this one early.
31 March  1611  John Libby son of Thomas in Luxulyan Cornwall.
