The above married John William Simmons (1897-1992) 2 Jan 1917 Peterborough, Ontario. They had 6 children of whom I can't find records for 4 of them, neither birth, marriage or death. They were: John born c. 1918, Helen born c 1918 too, Betty A born c1925 and Minnie born c 1927. These were all shown on the 1931 Canada census at 155 Hart Ave, Peterborough West. After that nothing substantial.
The other 2 children were Robert Marshall 1919-1920 and Dorothy Mabel Loraine 1923-2017 who married James Roy Rogers but don't know when or where?

You're quick off the mark-were you like me, teetotal for New Year's Eve?
There seems to be a problem with 'Dolly' Hockaday, I looked at her on Anc before and don't think she was from the same family as the other 6 unless she was Minnie?

There was a Muriel Simmons on the 1931 Census, whose parents were William Charles and Hanna Jane living in Deloro-I wonder if this is 'Dolly'?
What a pity we can't access the births and marriages for the family?
There seems to be no report of Dorothy marrying James Rogers?

Tend to go for something "zero" - non - alcoholic   :)

If you read the obit for Muriel. it says she was survives by her sister in law Thelma Simmons.
A 1928 birth also fits Muriel.

On the 1931 - Muriel Simmons was under - E Simmous Muriel  aged 3 years and with the rest of the Simmons family - see reply 14 on that other thread.
