« on: Saturday 10 September 05 16:44 BST (UK) »
Hi can anyone please help with a look-up for me in perth west australia. My father jack nutley was born in perth west australia in 1925,his mother edith annie nutley took her own life in 1931,his father charles nutley died 6 months after his wife in 1931 and my father got sent to england to live with relatives in rochdale we assume that dad got sent to england in 1931 and he always said the ship was called the moreton bay, could some kind person do a look-up on the passenger list of the moreton bay for 1931 to see what date my father left australia and maybe it would tell us who brought him to england dad would have been about 6/7 depending on when the ship sailed.thank you ever so much for anyone who can take the time to do this for me,it would answer a lot of unanswered questions for us.THANK YOU REGARDS JEANIE

Hi Jackie o gorman

The following family arrived in Fremantle WA on 30 Oct 1931 on "Moreton Bay"
Horace E Nutley, Dorothy H M, John P, Mary & Phillip E.  Are they any connection to your Nutley's?

Edith Annie Nutley died 18 Feb 1931 Armadale aged 32 buried a Karrakatta Cemetary
Charles Nutley died 21 Nov 1931 Perth Aged 36 buried a Karrakatta.

The "Moreton Bay" made regular trips between England  & Australia.
Apart from the Oct 1931 trip, it arrived in Fremantle 4 Mar 1932 and 26 Nov 1932.
If Jack went to England on "Moreton Bay" then it would be on the return voyages.

Cheers
Genni

Dear Genni,Edith Annie and Charles nutley who both died 1931 are my grandparents and my father jack was the only child of theirs and got sent back to england after they died but I am trying to find out the date he left Australia to come back to england so it would be a return voyage, dad always said he came on the moreton bay boat and was 6/7,my dad jack nutley was born 21/3/1925  in Perth western Australia so would have been about 5/6 /7 when he left Australia.thank you for the information you sent me,but do you have any idea how I could find out when he left Australia.once again thank you best wishes Jackie
