Dalton North Riding Catholic records

My family, surname Barwick, were from Dalton, near Gayles in Yorkshire North Riding.
I can’t seem to find the Catholic christening records for this area for the time period 1690 to 1730.
They were definitely catholic, as we have family documents from that time period that state this.
Would the records be held in North Riding somewhere?
Gilbert - Oxfordshire / London
Eskilson - East London / Sweden
