Good evening,
I'd really appreciate some help deciphering the highlighted entry in the image attached. I really struggle reading this old form of writing. It is a 16th century Marriage record in Nuneaton parish register.

Assumption is that the words
the 17 daie
belong to the record above.
Also assumed (perhaps unsafely) is that the letters in the margin to the left of
squire
aren't part of that surname.
I'm not completely happy that his surname begins with
N
but can't see an alternative.

One of the subscription sites has it transcribed as Mary Squire and Martine Nichines 25 June 1599 Nuneaton.
