Seems to be a regular thing for Irish Genealogy to be down on Sunday night but have you seen this birth of John Mitchell on Family Search

Civil registration of births started in 1864 so there won't be any birth certificates for the parents Robert and Hannah since they were married in 1864.
Family Search has most, not all, Irish births 1864-c1881 extracted and searchable with names of parents which is a great shortcut to finding the actual birth registrations. Just watch out for the 'birthplace' they list as they've really mucked up them. Doing a parents search shows only this child-
