Hello Wallabywest - good luck on your search, particularly in Co. Donegal. A tricky place to research. The name West does not have a big footprint in this part of the world. My McClure research in the county has unearthed only one reference. Not surprising since my main focus is the McClures. One of my ggrand Aunties had a liaison with an unknown West at Killynure[Convoy] area about 1869. This liaison produced a child. About the same time 3 of her nephews came to Australia [Vic]. Happy to chat if any of your Donegal WESTs found their way to Killynure from Muff.
Cheers
Jack Gee
