How to edit Tags in Ancestry
« on: Wednesday 30 August 23 23:35 BST (UK) »
I have written tags for several people in my family tree.

Now find that I would like to make some edits; however, cannot find the appropriate "EDIT" command, and cannot just overwrite the edit.
What am I missing?

Regards,

Do you mean you want to edit the tag itself? Or remove it from an individual?

The first option….I don’t think you can, but you can make plenty more and to remove from an individual tap it, a window opens at side, the ones attached are green, tap it and it will turn off on that individual.

In tree view tap on the person to open the Pop Up

Select Add Tag from the drop down Tool menu

Select the Tag and then select Edit

Its round the house but it works

Above assumes Custom Tags have been created, the standard ones are fixed and you can just turn on or off an individual having that specific Tag applied to them
