My great grandmother Margaret Nairn’ year of birth 1888 in Kirkcaldy & Abottshall, her mothers maiden name was Crichton.
I am stuck on finding out anymore, any suggestions welcome.

On Scotlands People you will be able to get a copy of the marriage certificate on 26 Nov 1909 of Margaret Nairn and Henry Kirk.  Parents Ann Crichton and Robert Nairn.

She was Margaret Thomson Nairn & she was b 1889 - not 1888 - see www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk
Her parents only married in 1889.  Use Scotlands People to download a copy of the 1889 marriage cert which will give Ann & Roberts parents names plus their mothers maiden names

From a database on Ancestry (Scotland, Burial Monument Inscriptions, 1507-2019 - you need a subs to view), there is listing for her burial.

She was buried at Bowhill Cemetery in Fife. There is an inscription on the stone which reads:

Ilmo Henry Kirk Beloved Husband of Margaret Nairn D. 22.9.1962 Aged 73. Also the Above Margaret Nairn D. 28.1.1964 Aged 74

As David seems to have been born about 1830, he may have been a child from either parent before the marriage.
I did not see a baptism record for David. However there is a death record in 1879 MARKINCH, for a David Crichton age 49 with mother’s name White. You would need to check that death is correct.
