Many thanks for info. Could possibly be them. I had Derbyshire in general also Stannimgton area of Sheffield too. No idea of his parents, but I do know Benjamin married in Penistone Jan 1827 to Ann Green .My Gt Gt Grandmother was their daughter born Norton Derbyshire nr Sheffield in 1847.  She went on to marry David Payne Ward at Ridgeway Derbyshire in 1870. I have Benjamin's parents as John Twigg and Judith Sleigh.

George Twigg was the witness at my Gt gt grandfather's wedding in 1848.  His name was Williamson and lived in Scropton Derbyshire at the time. (as did George).  I have noted the name TWIGG on cemeteries in the area too.
