Tipperary place name - Headfield?

Hello,

A possible relation of mine is listed on the 1911 UK census as an inmate age 74 at Camberwell, Work House, Gordon Road Peckham, Camberwell, London. His name was Michael Reardon and he listed his birthplace as Tipperary, Headfield. Anyone any idea where Headfield is?

It's in the England and Wales Census, 1911 and Familysearch (and FindMyPast) have transcribed it as Headfield.

I can see baptismal records of the 1800s where the address was transcribed as 'Headfield', they took place in the RC parish of Clogheen.  I can also see several references online to a 'Heathfield' which is in the vicinity of the village of Clogheen, possibly in the townland of Shanrahan, I wonder if 'Headfield' in the 1911 census is a mistranscription of 'Heathfield'?

Edited to add:  For example, nothing to do with your guy, but here's a 1914 birth registered at Clogheen for a Pierce Casey, the address very clearly is Heathfield:

I had a look at this earlier, but couldn't find a likely place. Clearly looks like "*eadfield", and I would guess Headfield. Strange that it has " Tipperary Headfield" whereas a few lines down is "Clonnell Tipperary". Also not sure of the location in Suffolk which appears to have the same first letter - "Suffolk, Huoum ".

Gaffy - thanks for that, Clogheen would make sense as the side of the family he's potentially related to are all from Kilbeheny, County Limerick which is only 16km from Clogheen.

Again nothing to do with your guy, but here's another example, Anna Hogan born and baptised in Clogheen parish on 1 August 1877, the address looks for all the world like Headfield ...

... yet the address in the civil registration is clearly Heathfield:

Reardons were thick on the ground in that area of Tippperary, but for what it's worth, the Clogheen RC parish registers do show a son Michael baptised in December 1835 for an Edmund Riorden and Joanna Bourke, I can't see the day, but looking at the entries above and below, it's between the 16th and 21st, the sponsors were John Kierney and Joanna Coghlan (right page, 5th entry up from bottom):

It would have been nice to find a baptism showing an address of Heathfield... or Headfield come to that. But still, just a possibility to note for now.

Yes I saw that record on Roots Ireland today, and Joanna Bourke's mother was Maria Casey (Joanna was born 1815) in Coughlan. The Casey's are the family from Kilbeheny I suspected the connection with Michael Reardon to, so it all fits in. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
