There is this person in 1841 1298 /book 10/folio 13/page 19

He is transcribed as Joseph Chale, 32 yrs and living at Littlemoor, Pudsey

Family Search has him as Joseph Hall  ???

Hi, this is almost certainly him as he was living with Hannah in Pudsey on the 1851 census.

If you use Ancestry, they have a document showing that Hannah Crann, wife of Joseph Crann was living in Hunslet in 1847:

She was called upon to swear an oath relating to her brother Joseph Taylor's rights of settlement.  Presumably she was considered to be of sound mind on 6 August 1847.

I did find this, thank you - what difficult times they lived in!
