« on: Monday 19 June 23 23:09 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone
Just introducing myself as title says I'm new to Rootschat and Ancestry/ Family History.
All advice help will be greatly appreciated.

Currently researching Coales Family.

Wilfred Haseldine Coales  Born 1889 believed to have served in War,    and Married in 1910 in Wisbech Cambridgeshire.
Some records found suggest he moved his family to Essex possibly Southend.

Any help advice how to proceed will be greatly appreciated
Thank you
Anne

Welcome!

I assume that you have Wilfred's baptism details.  St, Peter, Wisbech on 12 April 1890 - born 20 June 1889

Parents Thomas Timpeny Coales (Solicitor's Clerk) and Susan Emma of 2 Alexander Terrace, Wisbech.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

The only Wilfred Coales that I have found in WWI records at Fold3 died in 1916. Your Wilfred is with his wife Maud in Wisbech in the 1921 census.

added: (see below) Also looked for Albert Coales – not found.

In April 1922 there is a newspaper record of a receiving order naming Wilfred Haseldine Coales, Tinker's Drove, Wisbech St Peter, fruit grower.

I think this means he was bankrupt.

(same address as 1921 census)

How lucky you are to have so many family surnames as middle names.

One of my ancestral families did that though great grandparents named grandfather after a favourite actor. Sighs oh well!
