Unfortunately, there is a gap in the Sydney Morning Herald archive (that I have access to) between 1995 and 2006. An obituary for Herrick Maurice CORK may have appeared in 2003.

There is an article with photograph of Dorothy CORK in the SMH 25 July 1982. Happy to send you a copy if you'd like.

So there is no way to positively identify the Dorothy Cork who died 2015 ? Sad that someone dies and immediately there is no trace of them.

Regards
John

NSW has fairly strict privacy laws, so it's not surprising that some information is difficult to find.

You have possibly seen the Probate Index - no further helpful information to be found unfortunately.

Her books were donated to the State Libray of NSW by her family, according to the Powerhouse Museum info.

Perhaps if you contact them, they will be able to assist you.

Hi, I am the grandson of Maurice and Dorothy Cork. It was her who passed away in Stanmore in 2015. She was 97. Her husband Maurice passed away in 2003. Some of his commercial work is with the Peerhouse museum and can be seen after organising a viewing with the museum. At the tine of Dorothy's passing only one of her son was in Australia. He organised a memorial but I am not sure about anything in the SMH.
Someone has posted about an article about her in 1982 it would be great if I could get a digital copy if possible. Thank you.

Thanks amauryco.
Sorry I haven't replied before, too involved in other things.
