Reichenau, Bohemia
« on: Tuesday 06 June 23 18:06 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find where my ancestors, Joseph Kopeczki and Maria Maszlona emigrated from to Békés, Hungary.
They married in 1855 in Békés,  as place of birth of groom Reichenau, Bohemia is menioned, for the bride i think Galicia, Szandecz Briznica.

Where are these cities located now?
thank you for the help

I think Reichenau Bohemia is in the Czech Republic and is called Rychnov nad Kněžnou.

I have found this link:

Thank you all for the help, the books seem to be indeed from Reichenau, and for my luck the register is written in German :) not czech.

I mistyped the name of his wife, it was Maria Maszlonka.
for me it seems more Polish than Slovak, but i am not mistaken Galicia could be both currently.
