Well, Maddys52,
If you do indeed have the time and generous inclination, it's the family that appear in the various Censuses from 1841 through to 1901 in Terrington, a James STEPHENSON (1800-1890) marrying a Mary WRIGHT there on 29th Jan 1826.  Next generation a John STEPHENSON (1831-1905) marrying a Betsy JACKSON (1834-1906) there on 24th November 1859, followed by a Thomas STEPHENSON b. 1865 marrying an Alice GALES b.1861.  These last two producing sons John William, b.1892, Alfred b. 1894, and Edwin b. 1897.
Then the migration away from the Castle Howard area to York and other more urban areas...

...I seem to have slipped from one thread I thought I was posting an answer on to another one. (East Riding Look Up Requests) I wonder whether a kind moderator or someone could splice together/combine the two for me
I did watch that You Tube episode late last night here in the UK, however...

You may be getting Greek adverts that's all as I'm in Cyprus and the adverts were aimed at me when I did the link. Wait for the Skip the Ads to be flagged up on almost at the bottom of the right hand side. It only takes a short time to come up, by hitting that you override the commercials and go to the episode.

There is a mention of James STEPHENSON and family of Terrington being admitted into the workhouse (I'm guessing Malton) in 1839. Not sure if this is your family.

Also an interesting case involving the wife of William STEPHENSON (pretty sure this is son of your James, and brother to your John) and their neighbours the CAYTONs in 1875.
