Thanks Kiltaglassan for this information for Williamson side of family and I'm sure I must still have family there .I'm also looking into Docherty & O'Donnell side .

A quick google throws up modern day references to the surname in Ballee area.

Do you know where William is actually buried (there is no 'Galgorm Cemetery' as far as I know).

There’s a William J. Williamson buried in Ballyclug graveyard. No date. Townland given as Ballycowan in council records.

The Williamson family from 1901 census above has head as Robert Williamson.

Robert married Lizzie Graham, 23rd Sept 1880, Ballymena. Father named as William John Williamson. The witnesses were their fathers.
