Would you be able to tell me where Margaret's actual dob was sourced.  Very interested

Hi Chris

Are you still needing to know who "sponsored" the O'SULLIVAN family group, (Mortimer, Catherine and children) to New Zealand in 1875 ??

Hi again
Yes I haven’t heard back from the Archivist at St Patricks Cathedral, although I only sent the email yesterday.

As I mentioned earlier, I can't advise where to seek records for "colonial-nominated" emigrants to Auckland.

So will just "bump" up this query here, in case someone from Auckland can help.

It might pay to send an e-mail with a request to Auckland Library. [Scroll down to 'Research Enquiries']

O'SULLIVAN - Margaret and Elizabeth (Maggie and Lizzie) - sisters :

Nothing helpful in Wills of above sisters - seems they each left almost everything to the church.

?  Pretty sure these are the correct O'SULLIVAN sisters (although some oddities appear in their bueir records ??

Margaret O'SULLIVAN  d. 8 October 1962 - aged 85 (bc 1877) buried at Waikaraka Cemetery, Auckand (same cemetery as her parents and siblings).   Burial record says she was born in Ireland - but that would seem to be an error ??

Elizabeth (aka Elizabeth Ellen) O'SULLIVAN - d. 6 May 1955 :  Both NZ BDM (online) and the Waikaraka Cemetery burial record, have her death age as 70  (bc 1885) (Waikaraka Cem. also records her as born New Zealand ?    So did the first "Elizabeth" O'SULLIVAN aged 2 months on "Ocean Mail" passenger list, die ?     Is this Elizabeth Ellen O'SULLIVAN another child of Murty (Morty) and Catherine (named for her sister) ??

[ Just adding this info in case it helps in filling in the gaps in this family. ]
