I wonder if anyone can help pse??

Some years ago (1999 I believe) Padbury Parish Council published a book called "Padbury Through The Years".

I have been after a copy for sometime now, as my great grandparents feature in it quite a lot as I have been informed by a newly found relative!!

I have tried the Parish Council, Abebooks, Evilbay and all the usual places....Even a tiny bookseller called Cottage Books who normally have the obscure and forgotten county/countryside/village/FH books!
One more charge and then be dumb,
            When the forts of Folly fall,
        May the victors when they come
            Find my body near the wall.

Have you tried the local library? Just a thought.

In addition the local Family History Society may just have a copy. I know my own Family History Society have a Library of local books -- again - just a thought.

Good Luck on finding a copy.

Thanks yes, Im a member of Bucks FHS, but Id like one to keep...It appears to be hens teeth smothered in rocking horse pats...

I have a very extensive FH library myself, and indeed I write FH books!  ;D

That's not what I've heard scrimnet!!

It's surprising how word gets around - except of course for those words contained in the pesky missing book 'Padbury through the Years'!

Printer was Kall Kwik Printing, Aylesbury.
Do they still exist?

Publisher was Padbury Parish Council.

No longer in print.
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)
